Managing High Blood Pressure
Simple daily habits that make a real difference to your blood pressure – from salt to sleep.
High blood pressure often has no symptoms, but it silently raises your risk of stroke, heart disease and kidney problems. The good news: small, consistent changes really do move the numbers.
Start with salt. Most of us eat far more than we realize – season with herbs, spices and citrus instead. Aim for 30 minutes of movement most days: brisk walking counts. Sleep 7–8 hours; poor sleep pushes BP up.
If you're on medication, take it exactly as prescribed even on days you feel fine – and check your BP regularly. Walk into Palacecare any time for a free check and a friendly chat about your numbers.
